Young Hoon is sentenced to life in prison for robbery and murder after trying to pay for his sick wife’s hospital fee. He enters the correctional facility leaving behind a baby girl that he wishes will never know who he is. His brother, Dong Chul, takes on the responsibility and vows to take care of her as Young Hoon had done for him. Dong Chul’s wife, So Yang Ja, protests against raising a child that is not hers but ends up unwillingly going along with it. Young Hoon walks out after serving 27 years and tells his brother to forget he exists.
