Brian becomes friends with Dan Mills, an old-time lawman, who is being evicted by the "landgrabbers." At least, that's how the tyke sees it and he has lots of problems reconciling the way things were in the Old West with the way they are today — especially when dad seems to be siding with the bad guys.
