Texas has the second largest concentration of game companies in the U.S. Along with major, triple-A title game developers like EA and Blizzard- there is a small but committed group of independent developers and artists working diligently on home computers. Far from being the underdogs, these indie developers – free from expectations and with room to experiment – will likely push the art of video games into its next, great, innovative age as the medium of video games explores new frontiers in storytelling, music, animation and design.
