In the Year 2417, Earth has mysteriously disappeared and the temporal realm of Tempus Fugit is useless. No longer able to travel through time, Valerian and Laureline decide to go to Central Point , the capital of all known worlds. Once there, they find that nobody has ever heard of the Earth and they are the only representatives of mankind throughout the galaxy. In search of a clue, they meet Prince Baral , spokesman of the Confederation of Aldebaran. On the run, he is pursued by Vlagos. Valerian and Laureline , help him escape.
