Olivia is en route to a job interview, Simon is about to propose to his girlfriend. After a shaky introduction involving a can of creaming soda, Olivia saves the day by rescuing Simon's engagement ring from disaster.

Olivia puts Simon on the spot in front of several work colleagues, including his rival, Guy. Simon finally admits his girlfriend said yes to his proposal... or did she? Meanwhile, a blackout throws the elevator into chaos.

Olivia and Simon find themselves stuck in the elevator after it breaks down. Simon warms to Olivia after they play a game of ‘would you rather’, which almost culminates in him revealing the truth about his engagement.

Unbeknownst to Simon, Guy invites Olivia to accompany him to the upcoming office Halloween Party. Olivia quizzes Simon on his opinion of Guy and realises that Simon is unhappy with his new promotion.

The Halloween party is pumping - but what starts out as a playful evening ends in trouble as a drunk and jealous Simon sees Olivia and Guy on the dance floor. Finally revealing the truth about his engagement, Simon risks losing Olivia for good.

Miserable in his job and his personal life, Simon receives a pep talk from HR boss Lynne, which prompts him to apologise to Olivia.

It's the Water Utilities' awards night - the Tapsies! Olivia discovers Simon has quit his job and - afraid she'll never see him again - abandons the awards ceremony to find him.
