While the corpse of a young man was found on the quays, Caesar accompanied his mother to the opening of an exhibition by design star Peter Breck. There, he discovers with amazement that Élise Beaumont is the designer's wife. A young woman dies during the evening. Apparently, she fell down the escalator. Following a visit from the sister of the first victim, Wagner understands that the two deaths are linked. César attends his mother's wedding to Christian Haas in a magnificent castle where all the cream of Strasbourg politics has been invited. But behind the scenes, it was less glamorous: the body of an unidentified man was found in the cold room. Caesar does his mother a favor by agreeing not to cancel the party that is taking place and finds himself investigating with his team at the castle. Their investigation quickly leads them to Christian Haas' daughter, Victoire, who is also the wedding planner through her company "la fête des sens". The victim was a blackmailer who had come to the castle to extort money from him. What was this blackmail? Why does Christian Haas also seem to be involved, as well as his daughter's partner? Caesar is under pressure, he who also has to make a speech that he has not yet written... Sarah, a young woman from the Orthodox Jewish community of Strasbourg, is found dead. César and his team will discover a world whose codes they do not always master well, guided in their investigation by a few figures of the community, including the chief rabbi of Strasbourg. Their search leads them to the victim's brother, David, a character with shady activities who seem to be hiding things from the police. They will also discover that another man, Ari, had recently returned to Strasbourg to convince Sarah to run away with him. Caesar will have to unravel the true from the false in this episode which will end in a glimmer of hope, and will also have the opportunity to confront some fundamental questions about life and death.
