When a doctor is accused of rape, Dengler is hired to investigate. Despite overwhelming evidence against him, Dengler is intrigued by the doctor’s claim of the pharmaceutical industry’s plot to silence the doctor and bury his research.

Jakob Dengler has disappeared. His father, private investigator Georg Dengler, had no idea that his son works as an activist for animal welfare and is on a delicate mission. The call for help from the mysterious hacker Olga from Berlin comes to Dengler inconveniently, but he owes her something and frees her from her persecutors from the BKA in a daring action. Together they look for Jakob, who was last on a factory farm. While Dengler tries to help Olga go into hiding, Dengler's ex-wife Hilde gives him hell.
