Guttenborg and Bertramsen separately investigate the battle at Reden. Bertramsen follows the tracks of the humans while Guttenborg looks at the significance of the goblins. Bertramsen is interrupted by a knock on the door. It's his new secretary, Ms. Brahe. At the same time, Guttenborg has decided to play chess with King Frederik, but instead Pyrus arrives, who immediately asks where I should sleep and when we should eat.

Christmas is being decorated, both at Bertramsen and Guttenborg. Guttenborg gets very angry with Pyrus because he has used priceless documents from the archive for decoration. Then it's time for a tour, and Pyrus discovers what the National Archives is. Even though Bertramsen sees Pyrus, he doesn't believe in goblins, but Ms. Brahe, on the other hand. Before the day is over, Pyrus has interfered in Guttenborg's tricks.

Pyrus and Josefine are both put to the test. How quickly they can find a particular document in the archive. Bertramsen is not particularly satisfied. Bertramsen is contacted by Hoffet, who wants a list of Christmas traditions in Denmark. Guttenborg and Pyrus simultaneously start a hunt for Christmas. But in an unguarded moment, Pyrus comes to cast a spell so that the letters fall out of all the books, which has also happened with Bertramsen. When Pyrus conjures some more, an earthquake occurs and under all the piles lies a young girl.

Freja cannot remember who she is and where she comes from. Pyrus' last spell has made everything about Christmas gone. Josefine discovers that the world outside the National Archives cannot remember Christmas at all. Guttenborg names the young girl Freja, and so begins the hunt for Christmas and where Freja comes from. Guttenborg, Pyrus and Freya travel back to the Stone Age and Bronze Age, this time under Guttenborg's leadership.
