Ahmed Helmy is an Egyptian actor who was born in Benha and moved to KSA at the age of eight. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts and pursued a diverse career including interior design and media production. Helmy debuted with his role in the series Decent People (1993) and later settled on the media path, working as a host for multiple TV programs mainly aired on Egyptian satellite networks. Following his successful and popular TV run, he ventured into feature films, and his first acting experience was in Aboud on the Borders (1999), which proved to be his huge breakout performance. Since then, Helmy has become a well-established comedian and a leading man. He's starred in Sleepless Nights (2003), Black Honey (2010), and Over My Dead Body (2013). Helmy starred on TV in Cinderella, and Critical Moments, as well as the play The Ophthalmologist.
