The first episode looks at the birth of the Carry On brand at Pinewood Studios and reveals how producer Peter Rogers and director Gerald Thomas accidentally stumbled on a hit formula. There are trips back to Pinewood for Shirley Eaton, the glamour girl star of the first film, Carry On Sergeant, and for the equally glamorous Liz Fraser from Carry On Cruising. Actress Rosalind Knight goes back to school to revisit the location for Carry On Teacher, and there is an emotional reunion, 50 years on, for Bernard Cribbins and Juliet Mills, the stars of Carry On Jack.
