With Vishwamitra's blessing, Ram moves to string the Shiv Dhanush bow. Lifting it with ease, he proceeds to string it, breaking the mighty weapon. King Janak is pleased and Sita garlands Ram signifying their engagement. However the great sage Parshuram suddenly shows up demanding to kill Ram for breaking his guru's bow the holy Shiv Dhanush. After Ram's explanation, sage Parashuram see the divine vision of Lord Vishnu in Ram and blesses him.
