Upon seeing Kiara at the church, Doménica enters and discovers Luis Fernando's terrible tragedy: he lost not only his wife but also the baby they were expecting. She decides to apologize to him. Pilar discovers that Kiara transferred all her savings to Max Langer and, in a fit of rage, slaps her. Kiara immediately lies to avoid being discovered. After arguing with her mother, Kiara decides to run away, pretending to have fallen from her horse to avoid further questions. Luckily, Luis Fernando finds her. Mercedes visits Kiara after learning of the serious accident. Shortly after, she reveals how Luis Fernando lost the baby, realizing that the person she ran over was Sofia, Luis Fernando's sister-in-law.
