Ana Bacalhau is performing at Sociedade Recreativa this week. After 10 years with Deolinda, she decides to perform in "Nome Próprio." On the eve of the big show, Ana Bacalhau chats with Sílvia Alberto on stage at the Tivoli: "What really gets me going is music." It was important for her parents to see their daughter have a secure job, and she did so for a few years as an archivist at the Ministry of Finance. But music drew her back to the stage, and Ana Bacalhau didn't hesitate. She traveled the world with Deolinda, bringing expressions and traditions of Portuguese culture to countless destinations, and today, nearly 40, she is the mother of a daughter she named after her grandmother and maintains her enthusiasm for singing to be happy.
