In this video we will be making butyric acid by oxidizing 1-butanol (n-butanol) using KMno4. Chemicals: - 6.2mL 1-butanol - 14g KMno4 - 1.5g sodium carbonate - 2M H2SO4 - Diethyl ether - 90mL 3% H2O2
