The mayor of a small town has worries about repairing a canal and building a bypass. And some fellow citizens are initially against it, especially when it comes to their wallet. This is no different in Swabia than anywhere else. But if the mayor is also a Swabian and knows how to get his compatriots around with all sorts of clever means, then some hearty jokes are to be expected.
