Note 2: In reality, the way the game orders object slots is more complex than just by memory address. More on that in Pannenkoek's Science of Cloning - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xE2otZ-9os
Note 3: This would be during a star in THI to avoid an additional A press to enter THI
Note 4: It was recorded as 12 for the star itself, but a 13th A press was required to enter the pipe to go fight Bowser afterwards.
Note 5: This dive recover is aided by a disjointed hitbox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRCjVLqjST4&t=1014s
Other Note 5 (oops!): The Wet-Dry World painting water level uses Mario's Y position, which is at the bottom of his model. This is why the zones look so bottom-heavy, because it's the very bottom of Mario's model that needs to be in that range.
Note 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG2scmSIjJg
Note 7: Around this time, he also combined THI 100 coins and Make Wiggler Squirm in 0 A presses, saving 1 final A press.
