Is Toffee the True King of Mewni? (3x33)

The show is called, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, but back when "Great Monster Massacre" happened, the alleged "monsters" attacked to resteal Mewni for themselves. And Queen Moon Butterfly is shown battling Toffee in the Grandma room. Was Toffee the previous king of Mewni? What if these monsters aren't evil at all? And what if Toffee is a descendant of the Butterfly family, making him the rightful heir to the Kingdom of Mewni? Could any of this be possible?
