Is Genie Really the Peddler? (2x23)

Out of all the the memorable characters from Disney's "Aladdin", the one everyone remembers the most is Genie. Voiced by the legendary Robin Williams, the character was made larger than life by its voice actor's unforgettable performance. But there's one other character Mr. Williams played in the film than most people tend to forget; The Peddler from the intro. We sift through the sands to determine if it's at all possible that the Genie and the Peddler could actually be the same character.
