What is the best electoral system? Is that a valid question? What is voting? In the midst of so many political and politicized debates and clashes, how much have we stopped to think about the mechanics and paths that put this or that candidate in the seat he or she proposes? And how much are we actually responsible for the elections? How important is it to understand electoral systems? All these questions are connected by the representative democracy in which most of the world's nations live, and yet it's not just one (eligible) path that leads to power.
