Women under the Taliban: What is their life like? (2022x30)

Women in Afghanistan. Their rights have always been contested. But with the Taliban coming to power in August 2021, the few freedoms they fought for are in danger of finally disappearing. After the Taliban invaded, we immediately wanted to go and see what was changing for women. Since it was initially too dangerous, local journalists filmed for us and met very courageous women who spoke openly: a driving instructor, a journalist and a few more. What is life like under the Taliban? What is it like as a woman? What is actually allowed? What not? And how do women today, a year later, view their lives under the Taliban? We tell the stories of women who wage a quiet but stoic fight so that they are not forgotten, so that they do not become invisible.
