All of this on Insta, just a few clicks away from the platform's colorful feelgood page. Svea Eckert and Sulaiman Tadmory immerse themselves in an anorexia community. Anorexia is considered the deadliest mental illness. In an experiment, they are investigating how the Insta algorithm works and to what extent Instagram can fuel eating disorders. They meet young women and girls who are torn between looking for like-minded people but also knowing that Instagram is pulling them deeper into their illness.
