It started with a leak: 12 million confidential documents. The data was shared with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, the ICIJ. Together with more than 600 journalists from 117 countries and a team from NDR, WDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung, we spent months researching invoices, account powers of attorney and company documents from the offshore world. We looked deep into the secret, shadowy world of finance and found criminal motives and greedy people. CTRL_F shows how and, above all, why rulers, autocrats and criminals hide their money offshore.
