They called it CumEx or CumCum. Complicated stock transactions around the dividend date that apparently only had one goal: to steal our money. And they have poured billions into their accounts, as well as countless villas and a fleet of vehicles in the garage. A gang of lawyers, bankers and investors took at least 55 billion euros out of the pockets of European taxpayers. We speak to Christian Salewski, who, together with his colleague Oliver Schröm, has spent years researching the background to what is possibly the biggest tax scandal of all time.
