In the evening, Jawdat visits al-Mukhtar, to request a residence document to issue a passport, and with the arrival of Abu Nader as well, al-Mukhtar discovers that the seal has disappeared, and accuses Jawdat of stealing it. Al-Mukhtar asks Abu Nader to open an investigation and then begins a series of accusations and searches for him throughout the village.
