It was just after 6pm on a warm summer night when 14-year-old April Millsap left with her dog for their nightly walk. Two hours later, her mother Jennifer was speaking with police who had just found the teenager's lifeless body on the side of a popular community bike trail. Several witnesses had seen April that night involved in what appeared to have been an argument with a mysterious motorcycle rider along the trail. Scent dogs were brought to the area and miraculously, the canine team was able to find the teenager's missing phone. When law enforcement analyzed the cell phone, it revealed a series of shocking and heartbreaking clues that would ultimately lead investigators straight to her killer.
