Gus Calhoun has his heart set on a chemistry set- one that will make invisible ink. Nick promises to get It for him, and then leads Gus on a merry chase from store to store up the Sunshine Coast. The chase becomes a near-disaster when Nick's determination to find something better nearly breaks Gus's heart.
