Leonard takes Alex to the town where he met Alex's mother, but there is a problem: the town's population vanishes overnight. A corpse and the site where a man was murdered seem to vanish without leaving a trace. After seeing strange lights in the sky, the Blackes have reason to suspect that aliens might have abducted a woman.
