While in the countryside, Ushio and Tora meet a girl named Takatori Saya. She is part of a clan of white-haired women who are part of the Takatori family that have a duty to appease a spirit named Omamori-sama who brings the family prosperity. She tells Ushio and Tora about Omamori-sama, and how there is saying that once the Omamori-sama picks a house to live in, it will be rewarded with prosperity.
