The Big Red One is the U.S. Army's First Infantry Division. Its history mirrors the conduct of World War II in Europe; North Africa, Italy, D-Day then on to Germany. The soldiers describe several of the unit's tougher battles; El Guettar, Troina, Omaha Beach and Falkenau.
