At the Titan party, Carrie is stunned to be named a “Face of the 90s” finalist. Sami finally sees her mystery crush—Austin—and flees in humiliation. As Carrie and Austin leave for their cabin trip, Gus attacks, throwing acid; Carrie pushes Austin aside and is hit in the face. Bo pieces together the truth: Nikki killed Lisanne, and Lawrence covered for him. At the airport, Carly learns Lawrence manipulated her into leaving Salem. Bo races down the runway, stops the plane, opens the door, and Carly leaps into his arms as he slips her ring back on. At the party, Marlena arrives alone and calls Roman, who refuses to come. John confronts her, saying she can’t lie to him. She begs him not to touch her, but later, overwhelmed, she flees to an empty office. John follows, gives his Zen speech, and asks if she wants him to go. She silently shakes her head, and they fall into a passionate kiss as the door slowly opens.
