Jack can’t secure a loan for the Spectator, and when COD furniture arrives, Jennifer pays, leaving Jack feeling humiliated and inadequate despite her support. Austin faces blackmail from Tim, who demands $2,500 or threatens to expose him. Billie urges Austin to flee and even steals money to help, but Austin refuses to abandon Carrie. He cancels their cabin trip, devastating her, though she promises to stand by him. Gus later makes a threatening call. In court, Marlena argues passionately for Kimberly’s release, insisting confinement worsens MPD. The judge frees Kim into Marlena’s custody, making her responsible for Kim’s care. At the Brady Pub, Rebecca Morrison tells John he seems like a man who never stops loving. John leaves with her to dance while Marlena watches, hurt.
