Sanyukta explains the reason behind Shashwat's sudden wedding to Nikhilesh. She tells him that Tejal has offended her by refusing to perform the homecoming ritual. Tejal is determined to win Sanyukta's approval. She postpones her wedding night until Sanyukta accepts her as her daughter-in-law. Monikangana pretends to be asleep to put off her wedding night. Tejal reverts to her old dressing style and gains Sanyukta's disapproval whereas Monikangana performs the morning puja and impresses her.
