The firefighters in Rescue 1 introduce themselves and describe their trade, respond to a fire on 45th Street and 9th Avenue on the 3rd floor of a walk-up where a man has jumped to escape the fire, and stabilize a man hit by a train and rig a method by which to get him up an embankment to street level.
