Marshal Cecchini finds himself involved in a family drama: due to an accident, his daughter Patrizia risks losing her sight. She urgently needs eye surgery. To deal with the substantial medical expenses, Cecchini, instead of asking his friends for help, relies on a financial institution, thus ending up the victim of a legalized scam. When he realizes it, it's too late, the trap has already been sprung.
