Marlena dreams she confesses her affair with John to Roman, who threatens to kill John. She wakes terrified the truth will destroy her family. At the Brady Pub, Sami admits kidnapping Belle due to emotional turmoil. Roman insists John join a family photo holding Belle, and Sami reluctantly agrees. John later urges secrecy, but Sami overhears Marlena considering confession and convinces her not to. On Jennifer’s show, a guest’s story about abandonment triggers Jennifer, causing her to freeze until Austin helps her recover. Peter asks her out; she declines, then is served divorce papers from Jack. Austin and Carrie each voice relationship worries and are advised to take things slowly. Tony visits Stefano, asking him to help investigate John’s past. Stefano refuses and warns John’s subconscious holds dangerous secrets. Tony vows to help Kristen anyway. Privately, Stefano panics — John must never remember how Kristen and Peter’s parents died — and considers using Sami’s diary.
