At the hospital, Stefano manipulates Tony by hinting John still loves Kristen, and pushes Peter to steal Sami’s psychiatric file to exploit Marlena’s affair with John. Jennifer and Laura arrive at the party; Laura, off her medication, seethes with hatred for Kate, who she blames for her breakdown. Carrie attends with Lucas, frustrating Austin. Vivian sneaks in disguised as a man but is intercepted by an amorous woman. John confesses to Marlena that Sami witnessed their affair, devastating him. On the balcony, Kristen comforts him and they nearly kiss as Tony searches for her. Laura fixates on Kate with murderous intent, and Austin vows to win Carrie back. Midnight arrives with couples kissing while John and Kristen hover dangerously close.
