Stefano eavesdrops on John and Marlena's conversation, growing suspicious of a secret. Tony warns Kristen to distance herself from John due to his connection to Stefano, while Stefano mentions hearing rumors about John and Kristen's closeness. The Hortons prepare for a party, with Jennifer hoping the stimulation will help her mother Laura recoverthough Laura secretly refuses her medication. Vivian, learning from an impersonated call that Laura may speak soon and that Kate will attend the party, panics and convinces Ivan to bring her a disguise so she can leave Pinehaven and go to Salem.
