Kate refuses to return Billie’s company for bail funds. Lucas persuades her to let Carrie keep her cosmetics job, earning Carrie’s gratitude. Austin gets a piano job at the Penthouse Grill and asks Jennifer to support his request for an advance. Brandee’s presence at Austin’s cabin causes tension; Austin insists nothing happened, but she stays evasive under Lucas’s influence. At the hospital, Tom makes a rare charting error, alarming Jonah and Marlena. Marlena pressures Kate to reveal Curtis’s past to help Billie, but Kate refuses, fearing exposure.
