John kidnaps Kristen from the church to Smith Island, claiming she needs time away to clarify her feelings. Kristen resists. Meanwhile, Tony and Peter search for her; Peter argues that Tony's plan to legitimize the DiMera business is naive, questioning if Tony would abandon his reforms if Kristen were threatened. Bo interrogates Austin, Billie, and Carrie about Curtis's murder. Austin claims he and Billie were together all night (except brief moments with Carrie), and Carrie lies to corroborate his story. When alone with Billie, Bo reveals his growing feelings for her but grows suspicious when she can't remember her whereabouts. He discovers needle marks on her arm, assuming she's relapsed into drug use and was connected to Curtis. Bo demands the truth as Billie becomes terrified.
