Kristen grows wary of Stefano after overhearing a cryptic call. He claims it concerns funeral plans, but Tom reveals Stefano’s illness is advancing and he has only months left. Alice subtly directs Kristen to Marlena at the cabin. Jennifer decides to stop searching for Jack and emotionally lets go, throwing out his belongings as Austin supports her. She insists she’s done crying over him. At the station, a sting operation is compromised because Lexie tipped off Jonah. Roman tries to reach Marlena, unaware her cabin message lies unheard on the floor. John suspects Stefano fears losing Kristen once she learns the truth. Stefano summons Peter back to Salem. Alice tells John Kristen went to the cabin. At the remote cabin, Marlena’s phone dies just as she goes into early labor. Kristen arrives and finds her in distress. After failing to catch the departing ferry, they realize they’re stranded. Marlena begins timing contractions as they wait for Roman to reach them.
