John grows uncomfortable when Shawn-D interviews him for a school project, revealing gaps in his past. Roman relates to John's pain, sharing that Stefano stole parts of his life too, and advises that relationships require honesty and trusthinting that secrets will surface. Meanwhile, Sami frantically searches for Carrie, convinced Lucas will exploit her. She races to the river where Carrie and Lucas are about to have sex. Sami interrupts their intimate moment, warning Carrie that Lucas is manipulative. John heads to find Kristen after learning she's missing from the Horton Center, unaware of her danger.
