Jack keeps working to break Victor’s code despite promising Jennifer he’d stop. Jennifer overhears him talking to Vern and confronts him; Jack lies and claims he’s done. Upset, Jennifer impulsively cuts her hair short. Austin encourages her to get it professionally styled while he meets Dr. Galway about environmental illness research. At the hospital, Marlena nearly confesses her affair to Roman, but Sami—listening at the door—interrupts, claiming she wants to binge. Marlena later tells Sami Roman is confirmed as the baby’s father and begs her not to reveal the affair. Dr. Galway’s comment about Sami studying hematology makes Marlena suspicious. Victor threatens Jack at the Spectator, and Jack outwardly backs down but privately vows revenge. Jo and Austin plan Jennifer’s surprise birthday party. After her salon visit, Jack arrives and is thrilled by her new look. Privately, he tells Vern Victor must be removed for Jennifer’s happiness.
