John and Kristen wake together on Smith Island and plan to return to Salem, though Kristen hesitates. Later on the beach, she insists they can’t continue in Salem, but John persuades her to stay. A stranger, Peter, arrives in town looking for Kristen. Unable to find her, he goes to John’s office and learns both are away. Victor pushes for a wedding that very night. Kate suspects he wants control of the Spectator, but after asking Marlena to be matron of honor, she accepts. Marlena struggles with guilt over a secret and confides in Kim by phone; Roman overhears nothing. Carrie undergoes her second surgery. Marlena and Roman bring her to the hospital, where Lucas visits. Brandee appears and blackmails Lucas, threatening to expose his manipulations unless he gets her modeling jobs at Titan.
