Jack, unable to be tested due to past Hodgkin’s, is crushed and irrationally blames himself. Desperate, Jennifer suggests having another baby to create a potential sibling donor, but Jack refuses, insisting Abby will recover. He throws himself into work, leaving Jennifer feeling abandoned despite Maggie’s reassurance. Meanwhile, Lucas schemes by tricking Brandee into going to the cabin to sabotage Austin and Carrie. Carrie arrives to find Austin swimming with Brandee. Kate visits Abby at the hospital, volunteers to be tested, and offers her media connections to widen the donor search. Later, she opens a locket with photos of two babies and breaks down, hinting at a hidden past.
