Abigail is rushed to the hospital with a high fever. A specialist suspects aplastic anemia and orders a bone‑marrow aspiration. Jack and Jennifer are devastated, and Jack tearfully promises Abigail he’ll never let her down. Marlena worries about Sami’s withdrawn behavior. When she tries to get Sami to open up, Sami bolts upstairs. Carrie offers to talk to her, while Sami writes in her diary that life feels horrible and tries calling Austin. Kate and Victor grow intimate, but she stops short of fully committing. Victor pushes her to sell the Spectator; Kate refuses, saying she’ll only give it up as a dowry when she marries. Lexie confronts Jonah for making her feel guilty about lying to Abe in the pacifier case. Jonah explains he wants to fight neighborhood crime so they can eventually build a family together.
