Evidence piles up against Carly as Vivian drives a media smear campaign. Bo wants to lead the investigation, but Roman blocks him, so Bo pushes ahead alone. Outside Carly’s room, Bo and Lawrence argue while Vivian injects morphine into Carly’s IV; Bo glimpses her slipping back into bed as Lawrence opens the door. Carrie’s surgery succeeds. Sami arranges piano lessons with Austin and tells him the good news, but when he rushes to the hospital, Lucas is already with Carrie. Roman and Marlena celebrate at home with a private picnic. Kristen objects to John’s donation to the Horton Center but later accepts his reasoning. Rebecca then manipulates Kristen by implying her past is being investigated, leading Kristen to assume John is responsible. She confronts him at his loft while John grows increasingly tired of Rebecca’s interference.
