Marlena gets the test results confirming Roman is the baby’s father. Roman’s tenderness moves her, but she must tell John. In an emotional chapel meeting, they accept their affair is over. John promises to move on; Marlena insists they can only be friends, believing he’ll find his own miracle. Carly discovers Vivian has been killing patients and faked her paralysis. Vivian reveals she planned to frame Carly, then injects her with morphine during their struggle. Carly collapses and is rushed to ICU. Vivian realizes she used the wrong syringe and left the cleaning‑fluid one behind. Investigators find both syringes and assume Carly brought them, believing she accidentally injected herself and is responsible for the deaths. Vivian is thrilled she’s framed Carly but fears Carly might wake and expose her, vowing to stop that from happening.
