Jack spirals into denial, insisting everything is "fine" while Jennifer faces the terrifying reality. The family blames themselvesJennifer feels guilty for taking Abby to the mall, Jo for exposing her to a sick child at the park. Jack lashes out at everyone, then turns on Carly and the doctors. When Abby is rushed to an ice room, the gravity of the situation becomes undeniable. Elsewhere, Vivian struggles with pain and swelling in the hospital, requesting herbal remedies from Ivan. John and Kristen bicker, though they share memories of Paris.
