Bo and Carly plan a boat BBQ to help Nikki feel welcome, though he’s insecure about his place in their new family. Vivian and Ivan plot to frame Carly for advising a patient’s life support be ended, with Vivian posing as a nurse to lure her to the hospital. Carrie wrestles with her feelings for Austin, convinced he only pities her. She refuses surgery and insists on moving forward alone; Roman supports her. Billie attends the BBQ despite tension, while Charlie leaves in jealousy. Lucas humiliates Sami about her weight in front of Austin, then claims it was a test. He sets up a new scheme: Jamie tells Austin Sami needs help at the lake. Austin doesn’t show. Driving back, Lucas reaches for a beer and swerves into oncoming traffic toward Austin’s car as Sami screams. At the hospital, Carly searches for whoever called her and nearly uncovers Vivian’s plot before Lawrence blocks her path.
