Jack and Jennifer work late crafting a proposal for investor Clayton Robards. Jack dreams of building a publishing empire to give Jennifer and Abby a lavish life, while Jennifer wants his happiness and a simpler future. Despite different visions, they’re fully united. At the hospital, Carly performs cardiac surgery on Vivian to win back Nicky’s trust. The operation succeeds, but as Vivian drifts in and out of anesthesia, she vows her vendetta against Carly will never end. Bo’s tape of Taylor’s confession clears him. Suspecting Lawrence, Bo learns Taylor’s final call was to Titan. Lawrence, already ahead, breaks into her apartment, steals her address book, and destroys it at the pier before Roman and Abe arrive. Bo and Carly celebrate his innocence, but both carry private fears—Bo about Lawrence’s involvement, Carly about Vivian’s survival and Nicky’s forgiveness.
